Adding & Dropping Courses

Adding Classes

Students may add a course by logging into my.cochise.edu or by submitting a drop/add form to the Registration Office. All adds must be completed by the published no-penalty drop/add deadline.

Dropping Classes

Classes dropped after the last day of the drop/add period and up to five calendar days before the start of final exams are recorded as a grade of “W” on the student’s transcript. After this period, instructors must assign a final grade of A, B, C, D, or F, or an incomplete grade (“I”).

Wait Listed Classes

When a student is placed on a waitlist, they are held in queue for potential openings in the class. If a seat becomes available, the student is notified via their Cochise College email. The student has 24 hours from the time of notification to register for the course.
