This course is an overview of laws and legal matters of the criminal justice system, including law enforcement terminology, constitutional requirements, statutes and case law, functions, authority, and jurisdiction of federal and state courts, legal duties and responsibilities as a law enforcement officer, and the civil and criminal liability facing law enforcement agencies and officers.
