Course Description
This course provides an overview of tactical defensive techniques and their associated legal and ethical considerations. Core competencies include methods for maintaining physical control of non-compliant, resistive, or potentially hostile individuals, utilizing restraint and compliance holds, takedown procedures, and conducting safe and effective searching and cuffing operations. A significant emphasis is placed on risk assessment and the mitigation of potential for injury or fatality to all parties involved, including adherence to established safety protocols for the use of authorized defensive tools and equipment.
