Course Description
An overview of criminal law which includes basic concepts and definitions, laws of arrest, conditions for an officer or citizen arrest following Arizona Revised Statues, health and safety risks associated with public contact, deadly force, examples of persons immune from arrest per the Arizona Constitution, statutes and case law on search and seizure, rules of evidence to law enforcement and tests of admissibility of evidence applied to the courts, summonses, subpoenas and warrants, civil cases, jurisdiction of federal and state courts, juvenile laws and agencies, courtroom demeanor, constitutional and substantive law, and liability issues.
