Course Description
This course is for licensed practical nurses with one year of experience who have been out of a nursing program for more than one year. This first-semester course in the LPN to Professional Nurse program updates students on the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the Cochise College nursing program as well as changes within the profession. Emphasis is on the nursing process, patient care planning, therapeutic use of self, and basic nursing skills.
